New Member Induction Days.
Saturday 13 Feb. 10.00am - 1.00pm and Sunday 21 Feb. 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Special helicopter and fixed wing sessions for new members both experienced flyers and novices. Novices can have your plane and/or heli checked over and be introduced to club instructors. Experienced flyers new to the club will have the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise.
Other members please note that the flying site will be open to all on these days.

Safety Netting.
To minimise the risks of accidents we will shortly be installing safety netting parallel to the pits. The netting will be about 20 metres long with a ‘dog leg’ break for access to the runway. It will be 3 metres high supported on poles and will be a semi permanent fixture so pilots will not need to remove it at the end of each flying day.

Pilot Box.
In order to keep take offs and landings on the appropriate part of the runway there will, in future, be a section of uncut grass between the new safety netting and the mown runway proper. This is an additional safety feature and all pilots are requested to stand on this unmown strip whilst flying.

Identification Of Paid Up Members.
On occasions non members or ex members have been seen flying at the site and where recognised have been spoken to appropriately. To make it easier to recognise paid up members each will be receiving with their new membership card a length of ribbon which should be attached, preferably, to either our transmitter aerials to clearly visible on the flight box. If anyone is seen flying without this identification please speak to the individual or report to a committee member.
